Generally, we are most competitive when your freight is more than 150 lbs or has dimensional weight greater than sizes allowed by parcel service. We do not do household moves, but will deliver to a residence. Also, we do not accept Hazardous Materials (HM) or any shipments that require temperature control or refrigeration.
The best way would be to provide as much information as possible under the preferred service “GET A QUOTE” button and submit for review. An experienced Customer Service personnel will follow up on questions or missing data. You can also reach us at (888)550-7140 option 2 during regular business hours. (8-5 M-F Pacific Standard Time)
We offer several ways to pay for your shipment. For customers who do not ship regularly, we accept American Express, MasterCard, Visa or a wire transfer. Payment is processed before the load is dispatched. You can establish a credit account by submitting a complete credit application to the Accounting Department for a careful review credit history.
Unless otherwise requested, quotes are calculated on a standard procedure provided by most carriers. This service involves trucks being loaded / unloaded by the shipper and consignee at a commercial site location, Monday through Friday between 8am-5pm. Other services may require additional fees.
The more common accessorial charges are pickups or deliveries at non-commercial locations. The sites include, but are not limited to, Residences, Schools/Universities, Hotels, Malls, Conventions, Government, Military, Rural or Limited Access. Please note, a business located within a residence will incur a residential fee. Extra charges would also apply if a Lift gate is required because the shipping or receiving address does not have a loading dock and manual loading or unloading is necessary. Also, if the driver is required to go beyond the front door or loading dock to pick up or deliver an Inside fee will apply.
Yes, however, shipments are usually dispatched the following business day after all the documents has been processed. Keep in mind that pickups are not guaranteed due to carriers' capacity. You may request a special pickup if this is an expedited or time specific move. Additional fees would apply.
Transit times are guaranteed ONLY if noted on your quote. All other transit times are reliable, but not guaranteed. Transit times do not include the day of pickup, holidays or weekends.
Most commonly, the driver will not wait. The driver will be dispatched for the following day, which delays your service and you will be assessed a fee for the duplicated pickup.
It is best to package, crate or stack freight on pallets securing with banding, shrink-wrap or breakaway adhesive to prevent damage. Improper packaging may void the carrier's liability for damage. Stack cartons squarely on the skid and if possible, do not overhang the pallet. Labels will be provided for placement on every shipping unit to ensure proper routing.
Our liability is limited to $.50/lb unless the shipper purchases additional insurance at a cost of $.65 per$100 value ($35 min). We can issue insurance for most shipments. All insurance is done through the carrier or a third party insurer. A $500 deductible will apply on insurance claims.
Yes, however, if an inaccurate weight or class is used and a shipment is reweighed or re-classed by the carrier, those costs will be passed on to you. Reweighing may also delay delivery.
Dimensional weight is a standard formula used throughout the freight industry that considers a package's density when determining charges. Transportation charges are based on the gross weight of the shipment or the dimensional weight of the shipment; whichever is greater. Simply put, dimensional weight is when the weight of a package is inappropriately less than the actual size of the package. For example, a box filled with inflated balloon.
